Biblical Cosmology

*Note: I believe in what is called "Biblical Cosmology". I am also a believer that in Genesis chapter 6 the "sons of God" were Angels who came to earth and took human wives who then bore giants. All of this is important to some of my other studies, even regarding womens headcoverings among other things. Where the heavenly places are is also important to understand because the church the Body of Christ inherits the heavenly places. Also, all of my studies are for women only. Women are fully capable of understanding these important topics. I believe that women can teach other women doctrine online, one-on-one, through books or as a womens group study, as well as teaching them about homemaking and biblical womanhood.

**I might not agree with them on everything regarding these topics but they do teach something similar.

Since I came back to my Christian faith in 2016, I've believed in a literal 6 day creation and a young earth. However, for many years I tried to fit the current secular model of Earth (that most Christians today just accept without question) in with what the Bible says. I've even read books by people like Henry Morris of the Institute for Creation Research and similar literature. However, recently I was studying the book of the revelation, and I couldn't wrap my head around how exactly stars could fall from the sky to earth without totally obliterating our planet. 

Revelation 6:13 says,

"Rev 6:13 KJV - 

13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind."

According to astronomers, stars are giant suns, some of them even bigger than our own "planet." They would completely obliterate us. I tried to think of what else this could be referring to. Meteors? Comets? I couldn't really imagine it. But I thought of other verses too like this, 

Mat 24:29 KJV - 

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Isa 13:10 KJV 

10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

Then I thought of other verses that I could never totally wrap my head around such as:

1Sa 2:8 KJV - 

8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.

What are the pillars of the earth? And God set the world on these pillars? How does that fit with man's idea that we are on a spinning globe hanging in space?

Then,

Gen 8:2 KJV - 

2 The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;

Windows of heaven? Are there literal windows of heaven and what exactly IS heaven? It is merely referring to our upper atmosphere? And what is "the deep"? That doesn't sound anything like mere rainclouds.

And,

Rev 4:1 KJV - 

1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

A door to heaven that is opened? Is that a portal to another dimension or is it a literal door in heaven? Which heaven? 

In Acts 7 when the Apostle Stephen is being stoned to death it says,

55But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

56And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

How could Stephen literally see into the heaven from here on earth? Isn't the 3rd heaven at the edge of our known universe? (I realize that some Christians believe it's in another dimension but to me that seems very newage; and the secular world doesn't believe in a 3rd heaven at all). What if the 3rd heaven is actually much closer to us than we think? What if God is LITERALLY right above us?

Then there are verses like this:

Rev 7:1 KJV - 

1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

How are there 4 corners on a globe earth spinning and hurdling through space?

Rev 15:1-2

1¶And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

2¶And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

Where is the sea of glass? What is it? Also why is God's throne on top of a sea of glass as well?

I remember as a grace believer hearing some people explain that the sea of glass is deep in space right before the throne of God in the third heaven. But really? That far away? However, I believe that this sea of glass is the actual firmament, right above us, not somewhere "deep in space." 

Rev 4:6 KJV - 

6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

There are more strange descriptions of the firmament that suggest that it is an actual object, is solid, though likened to glass or a crystal. 

Eze 1:22 KJV - 

22 And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.

If you notice, this verse I'm about to share seems to suggest that God has a throne on top of the firmament. If this is true, why would it be over 13 billion light years away (according to astronomers that's the edge of "space") if the 3rd heaven is somewhere at the edge of space and then how in the world did the Apostle Stephen see God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ standing in heaven? Some Christians try to say it was a portal opening and all of these strange things that I think sounds more like science fiction or newage than anything else. 

Eze 1:26 KJV - 

26 And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

Why does God say that heaven is his throne and earth is his footstool? If deep space were real and the 3rd heaven is at the edge of it, that would mean that God has legs as long as 13 billion light years away lol. Unless, of course you prefer to just read that verse as mere poetry. 

Isa 66:1 KJV - 

1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

Also, what is the deep? And how are their waters above and below the firmament if earth is surrounded by a dark vacuum of space?

Gen 1:2 KJV - 

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Gen 7:11 KJV - 

11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

Job 38:30 KJV - 

30 The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.

And where exactly is hell? I understood it to be in the heart of the earth, but where exactly? Where is the pit? Where will the lake of fire be? Are these yet in another dimension? Didn't the Lord Jesus Christ descend into hell after his crucifixion. 

Isa 14:15 KJV - 

15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Mat 10:28 KJV - 

28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

2Pe 2:4 KJV - 

4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

Rev 20:7 KJV - 

7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

1 Peter 3:19

By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

And other similar verses.

I had a thought. This would make a lot more sense if "flat earth" were true. And so that began my journey into really looking more into this.

I realized after thinking it over, that I needed to stop exalting man's wisdom and science falsely so-called over God's word, even if that meant completely changing how I viewed the earth and some of my thoughts about what heaven looks like as well. Even if that meant looking like a fool in this present evil world. 

1Co 3:18 KJV - 

18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

1Ti 6:20 KJV

20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

1 Corinthians 1:19-20

19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Rom 3:4a-c KJV - 

4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar;

As a Midacts Rightly Dividing Dispensational Grace believer, I believe that the church the Body of Christ will inherit the heavenly places. So what are those places like? What do they look like? What does God's word say about it? I was so brainwashed by modern secular science, that denies God and His word, that I pictured us inheriting "outer space" and planets etc alongside living with God in the third heaven. But now I see the heavens differently. 

There is a dome called the firmament over the earth, and I believe it has layers going up to the third heaven and they are clear but solid, likened unto glass or a clear crystal. Within the firmament is the sun, moon and stars (which are not giant suns) and also heavenly creatures exist there. The 24 elders in the book of the revelation will also be at the top layer of the firmament when the tribulation period is beginning. 

Gen 1:6-7 KJV - 

6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Gen 1:14 KJV - 

14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Gen 1:17 KJV - 

17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

Eze 1:22 KJV - 

22 And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.

Amos 9:6

6 It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, [layers of the firmament] and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: [the sea above the firmament] The LORD is his name.

The so-called "planets" that we see are simply "wandering stars". These wandering stars are often worshipped by pagans and even today have pagan names. These wandering stars also represent fallen angels.

Act 19:35 KJV - 

35 And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?

Jde 1:13 KJV - 

13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

The higher the levels of the firmament, the higher the positions of power in God's heavenly government. 

Col 1:16 KJV - 

16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

The cherubim are at the very top, near God's throne. Angelic creatures go there to report to God.

Job 1:6 KJV - 

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God [heavenly creatures] came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

God has a throne on top of the highest level of the firmament, sometimes referred to as the holy mountain. Satan wants to have this position of power. 

Isa 14:13 KJV - 

13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, [talking about Satan] I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

North is north. On a globe planet hurdling through space, directions like north and south would technically be relative.

The earth also is set upon or fastened by pillars. These are actual physical pillars of some kind that God created. When the scriptures say the earth hangs on nothing, it doesn't mean that it is hanging by the gravity of the sun (that's called sun worship by the way) but rather that it's not hung on anything because it was set upon pillars by our creator God. 

"....for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them." 1 Samuel 2:8

There is also a sea above the firmament and below the earth. When God created the heaven and the earth, he actually inscribed the circle of the earth into the face of the deep. 

Also, earth doesn't move. The only time it will move is when God shakes the whole earth during the tribulation period. 

Psalm 104:5

5Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

Psalm 93:1

1¶The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.

Isaiah 24:19-20

19The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.

20The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again. [During the tribulation period]

The sun and moon move in a circuit above the earth. The earth does not revolve around the sun. There is a connection there with pagan sun worship, by the way. The moon doesn't control the tides, but gives us a sign as to what the tides are doing. The sun, moon and stars were given for signs, seasons, days and years. 

The flat earth appears to look like a circle from Gods view above especially since He carved a circle into the face of the deep. Water covered the face of the deep and God inscribed a circle into it. The earth though also, has pillars on four sides of it. 

Isa 40:22 KJV - 

22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Also he sits UPON it because God literally has a throne on top of the layers of the firmament.

The firmament protects earth from the surrounding sea. There is NO "outer space". This also means NO "space aliens". Star Trek is even more fictional now when you understand Biblical Cosmology. However, the layers of the firmament may have celestial cities of some kind and a temple. 

Psa 11:4 KJV - 

4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

Rev 7:15 KJV - 

15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

Rev 11:19 KJV - 

19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Rev 14:17 KJV - 

17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

All of the creation is in the shape of a tabernacle. A tabernacle is a temporary dwelling place, like a tent. I believe this is because God had foreknowledge that Satan and then Adam would sin, and so within this current tabernacle God is working out his plan of salvation and dealing with sin.

Again, 

Isa 40:22 KJV - 

22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Why do I believe that there are layers in the firmament? Because each layer contains angelic heavenly creatures with positions of power there. Jacob saw it and described it as a ladder. The angels were going up and down it. 

Gen 28:12 KJV - 

12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. 

Amos 9 also mentions "stories in the heaven". That is NOT talking about "galaxies and universes" but layers in the firmament. 

Amos 9:6

6 It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, [layers of the firmament] and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: [the sea above the firmament] The LORD is his name.

In the tribulation period these layers of the firmament are also described as rolling back like a scroll. The layers of the firmament eventually collapse down to the earth and all of the fallen angelic creatures in those places come falling down too and that includes the stars falling from heaven as well.

Isa 34:4 KJV - 

4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens [the layers of the firmament] shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.

Pagans and newagers have worshipped the stars and have used astrology for a long time, even going back to Babel and probably before that, and it will all come down. The tower of Babel was man working in unison with fallen angels to try to peirce through the firmament and live among their God's. Could a similar thing be happening today with Nasa and other so-called space agencies?

Genesis 11:4-5

4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, [not just a tall building but they were building a tower or ladder to get up into heaven and I believe that they were prepared to build a city IN the heavens, not just on the earth] whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

5 And the LORD came down [from the top of the firmament] to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

Angels have spiritual powers behind the governments on earth as well, as described in the book of Daniel.

Daniel 10:12-13

12¶Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. [Angels were meant to minister unto man]

13But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: [a fallen angel of some kind with spiritual powers over a nation on the earth] but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, [an angel with a higher position of power] came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

Do angels still govern spiritually over nations on earth in our current dispensation of grace? Perhaps, but maybe not because in our dispensation angels are not ministering unto us today. Instead Satan is deceiving people primarily through religion and he has ministers of righteousness preaching false gospels. Holy angels are watching us and learning about the manifold wisdom of God. 

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

13For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Eph 3:10 KJV - 

10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

Angels are also not immune to deception. Some were deceived in the past by Satan and followed after him; and I believe that yet more angels will be deceived even in the future during the tribulation period. 

Daniel 8:10

10And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. [A future event]

Revelation 12:4

4And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: [a future event] and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Rev 8:12 KJV - 

12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. [A major blow to the fallen angelic host]

Job 4:18 KJV - 

18 Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly:

I also believe that God created two different "groups" of angels. The angels who watched God form the current heaven and earth (the layers of the firmament and our earth) were already in existence in the 3rd Heaven. Real creatures exist there.

Job 38:7 KJV - 

7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

By the way, although mostly male angels are described in the scriptures, there are female angels too!

Zec 5:9 KJV - 

9 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: [what does that sound like!] and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.

I believe that these female angels were assigned by God to take away a curse.

The angels specifically assigned to dwell in the firmament and to be ministering unto man on the earth 

were created later, formed out of fire, perhaps at the same time that God created the firmament or shortly therafter. 

Psa 104:4 KJV - 

4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:

Angels are made of fire from heaven, whereas man was formed of the dust of the earth. Two different creatures yet they can look similar. 

At some point after their creation, Satan who is a cherubim sinned against God by wanting to usurp God's throne on the top of the firmament. Satan had once dwelled in the garden of Eden even before he sinned and before he deceived Eve. 

Eze 28:13 KJV - 

13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

I don't believe that Satan ever existed in the 3rd Heaven, although I could be wrong. I believe that he's only ever dwelled in the firmament, the sea that surrounds the earth and on the earth. 

Angels once dwelled on the earth (alongside doing their tasks in the firmament which I believe contains celestial cities) and they were supposed to be ministering spirits for God unto man. Unfortunately, Satan would deceive Eve in the garden, and then later on some Angels would take human wives for themselves who then bore giants. This was an abomination unto the LORD. 

Genesis 6:1-2

1¶And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Satan has a seed.

Gen 3:15 KJV - 

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The half-angel, half-human giants then probably taught men and women evil things because they were creatures that God had not actually created himself nor intended to have existed. Man became increasingly reprobate and the whole earth was filled with violence. Even many of the animals were corrupted somehow at this time. Dinosaurs, if they existed, may have been genetic alterations of some kind by the giants. This might also explain strange tales of faerie people, mermaids, the various Greek gods, etc that are in pagan mythology. Dinosaurs are not mentioned in the Bible, but creatures like Unicorns and Satyrs are (a half human, half goat creature).

Isa 34:14 KJV - 

14 The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.

Num 23:22 KJV - 

22 God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

Psa 92:10 KJV - 

10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

So why then exactly do creation ministries like to teach little children about satanic creatures like dinosaurs?

One day, God is going to create a new heaven and new earth for all believers to dwell in. I believe that the lake of fire might be at the very bottom of Gods creation, where Satan, fallen angels, demons and all unbelievers will be for eternity locked up in eternal darkness and torment forever. 

Rev 20:14 KJV - 

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

The new heaven and new earth might look very different from the current model of Biblical creation. For one, we are told that there will be no more sea. That sea is the sea that is currently above the firmament and below the earth. 

We are not surrounded by a vacuum of space but by water. 

Rev 21:1 KJV - 

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

For believers from the dispensation of grace, we inherit the heavenly places. Where will they be? What are they exactly? We must study the scriptures to keep gaining more understanding and insight. 

So, don't just believe what I say about this, search the scriptures for yourself. Be a berean. God rewards those who diligently seek him.

Acts 17:11

11These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Heb 11:6 KJV - 

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

If you are wondering why so few believers see this, it's because Satan keeps people blinded from the truth. When I realized the truth about Biblical Cosmology while doing my own personal Bible studies, I realized just how deep Satan's deceptions go in every area of life on earth, even to the point of deceiving us about where we live and where exactly God is.

In Romans chapter 1 God tells us that the creation itself bears witness of Gods existence. But, if you teach people from even a very young age that the earth is an insignificant planet hurling through space, that we evolved from an eomeba on a rock in the ocean and that the entire universe itself will eventually rip apart and no life will exist (one of their many theories) it basically blinds people from seeing that God created all things. We pay tax money in America to teach these Satanic lies to millions of children!

Also, sometimes people are very resistant to this idea because they are afraid of facing ridicule, being attacked in some way, being ostracized even sometimes by fellow believers. Noah certainly wasn't popular in his time when he warned others of the coming judgment through a global flood (which by the way included windows in the firmament opening waters from the sea above the firmament pouring down on earth; plus the fountains of the deep below us also broke upon and shot water up from the ground!]. To warn people that this judgment was coming must have made Noah look foolish in the eyes of unbelievers. 

2Pe 2:5 KJV - 

5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

Genesis 7: 11-12

11In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

12And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

Genesis 7:19-20

19And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.

20Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

Also, some people reject it because of something called cognitive dissonance. 

"cognitive dissonance is described as the mental disturbance people feel when their beliefs and actions are inconsistent and contradictory, ultimately encouraging some change (often either in their beliefs or actions) to align better and reduce this dissonance. Relevant items of information include peoples' actions, feelings, ideas, beliefs, values, and things in the environment. Cognitive dissonance is typically experienced as psychological stress when persons participate in an action that goes against one or more of those things. According to this theory, when an action or idea is psychologically inconsistent with the other, people do all in their power to change either so that they become consistent. The discomfort is triggered by the person's belief clashing with new information perceived, wherein the individual tries to find a way to resolve the contradiction to reduce their discomfort."

It's also common for those who DO see the Biblical view of cosmology and accept it, to be really excited about it and to tell others who are hopefully willing to hear it. They will also try to find others who have a like mind regarding this belief. 

I think that whether we agree or disagree regarding Biblical Cosmology, we ought to give one another GRACE as believers. I see far too many believers mocking and making fun of believers who don't adhere to the current worldview model of Earth and that is really sad.

The most important things for a believer to preach is the Gospel of the grace of God, and teaching others to rightly divide the scriptures, and about Grace Living, for us to allow Christ to live in and through us as believers. But we shouldn't try to prevent believers from also teaching other important doctrines as well. Is creation not an important doctrine? 

At the same time, for those who do question the current secular scientific model of the world and who accept Biblical cosmology we need to give grace to other believers who do not yet have this understanding and who might not be willing to understand it. We can share some verses with them or bible study videos on this topic, but let them think through it for themselves. And they might never see it exactly as you do and that's okay as long as we agree on the most important doctrines like salvation, etc. But never be ashamed to speak the truth in love.

Does it matter what shape the world is? I think it matters to God, because he created it! If it didn't matter to God and if he didn't want us to know about it, he wouldn't have included it in scripture, let alone in the very first book of the Bible! God is a Holy God and everything that he does has meaning and purpose. He also created you and I as well, and we matter and are very important to God.

11Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
