Deceptions of Newage and Yoga | God's Wisdom vs Women's "Wisdom"

1Co 1:19 KJV - 

19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

The anti-christ will be a newager, or will at least embrace newage philosophies. He will idolize and worship himself and will then force others to idolize and worship him.

2Th 2:4 KJV - 
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

"A course in miracles," a heretical book promoted and taught by the newage author and Presidential candidate Marianne Williamson says, "Lesson 61: I am the light of the world." The book consists of daily affirmations and teachings that are in direct opposition to God's word rightly divided. It teaches that each person is God and that all of life is merely an illusion in which we need to wake up out of. It teaches that if you say their daily affirmations, you will eventually wake up from the dream. It literally takes verses from the Bible speaking about the Lord Jesus Christ and makes them about YOU. It uses Christian terminology but redefines them. It teaches essentially that you are God. That you have all of the answers. The fundamental teaching of A Course in Miracles is the “atonement principle,” which states that separation from God through sin did not happen. The course further teaches that sin is the absence of love and nothing more. It denies that sin is an act against God. It was written by Helen Schucman, a research psychologist raised by Jewish but non-religious parents. It is now promoted by the popular newage author Marianne Williamson who is currently running for President of the United States of America in the democratic party, and is promoted by the popular billionaire talk show host and business woman Oprah Winfrey.

But what does God's word say? Sin is described in the Bible, not as the absence of love as the book a Course in miracles states, but as transgression of the law of God (1 John 3:4) and rebellion against God (Deuteronomy 9:7; Joshua 1:18). Paul also tells us that whatsoever is not of faith is sin (Ro 14:23). In fact, according to Gods word all that an unbeliever can do is sin because being born "in Adam", they have no power over sin. The law, and even our own conscience, was given to us to show us that we are sinners and that WE CANNOT SAVE OURSELVES and then hopefully we will then turn to God to save us. But if you believe that you never sin and sin is just the absence of love, then you will try to "save yourself" by your own fleshly efforts to love. Unbelievers, however, cannot truly love others. Their "love" always has some kind of selfish motive behind it. Besides that, it is simply impossible for us to save ourselves. We must be saved first by believing the gospel, and then we learn to love others because God's grace teaches us godliness. Unbelievers do NOT love God. Rather, he loves us and sent his Son the Lord Jesus Christ to die for our sins so that we could have eternal life in Him! It's HIS love that saves us, not ours! And we must believe in his ACT of love which was that he died for our sins, was buried and rose again for our justification.

Ephesians 2:3-5
3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4¶But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Ephesians 2:8-9
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9Not of works, [like us trying to love others in our fleshly efforts or saying a bunch of affirmations everyday] lest any man should boast.

Unbelievers are functionally dead and cannot serve God; they are spiritually dead in their trespasses and sins. They cannot serve nor please God. "Dead" here means unable to love or serve God.

Col 2:13 KJV - 
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Today, in the dispensation of grace, we are saved when we believe how that Christ Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again for our justification. In and of ourselves we have NO POWER over sin. But, when we are "in Christ" after believing the gospel, we then have Christ's Spirit in our spirit making us spiritually alive in Him, and we have his word rightly divided to give us the mind of Christ and we can then choose to walk in the Spirit instead of after the flesh.

A course in miracles and other newage teachings tries to teach that we are all born holy, and we are not separate from God and that there is no hell/lake of fire. But, what does the Bible say?

Col 1:21-22
21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled [when you believe the gospel]
22In the body of his flesh through death, to present you [believers] holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Mat 10:28 KJV - 
28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Rev 20:14 KJV - 
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

All unbelievers are "alienated and enemies in [their] mind by wicked works (sin)".

Rom 5:12 KJV - 
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Rom 3:23 KJV - 
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

All newage teachings are trying to get people to believe that they are God and to exalt themselves as God. This is exactly what the anti-christ will believe. Satan has a course for this world which is moving towards the rise of the anti-christ and his one world government (man united against God similar to the time of the tower of babel).

2Co 4:4 KJV - 
4 In whom the god of this world [Satan] hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

What will be the end for those who follow Satan and his course for this world and who never choose to believe the gospel of the grace of God?

Job 21:30
30 That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.

Revelation 20:11-15
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Newage and eastern religious philosophies are even taught within Christendom. First of all, many Christian women practice yoga. Yoga today is heavily promoted and practiced by newagers but it originated in India through the Hindu religion. Yoga is an Eastern religion about "union with the divine," by religious efforts like the yoga poses and breathing techniques (which is not a real way to God but a pagan form of worshipping Satan and self). There is nothing sinful about stretching or even taking deep breaths, but the practice of yoga includes embracing their vain philosophy and religion and that is a sin. Plus, many poses and techniques are used as a type of seduction and to put you into a trance! As believers we are to go so far as to "abstain from all  appearance of evil" and evil would include false doctrines like yoga and newage which we ought to avoid.

22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
