Leaving Newage Doesn't Save You

Leaving New Age doesn't save you unto eternal life:

Coming out of newage doesn't save you from hell. Believing the gospel of the grace of God is believing UNTO SALVATION (Eternal life). We are saved by grace through faith alone the very moment we believe the gospel. No one is saved unto eternal life by leaving a false set of religious or "spiritual" teachings and lifestyle. That is a work. People are saved by the Lord Jesus Christ by grace through faith the MOMENT that they believe the gospel (Christ's death, burial and resurrection as atonement for our sins) and faith (our believing) is not a work! God ONLY justifies believers. We have to recognize our sin nature and then choose to believe the gospel and when we believe we are then saved!

Ephesians 2:8-9 KJB

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith [simply believing the gospel which is clearly described in 1 Cor 15:1-4 KJB]; and that not of yourselves: [We could never do anything to save ourselves] it is the gift of God: [we are saved FREELY by grace through faith alone without works]

9 Not of works, [works include doing things to try and earn our salvation or "clean ourselves up"; for example, no one is saved by prayer, giving your life over to Jesus, trying to stop sinning, water baptism, joining a church, speaking in tongues, penance, praying a rosary, communion, begging God to forgive you, confessing to a priest or before a whole church, etc] lest any man should boast [NO flesh shall ever glory in God's presence; no one in heaven will be boasting about what they did to earn their salvation because everyone there is saved by grace through faith alone, it is a free Gift from God].

And once we are saved (after having BELIEVED the Gospel of the grace of God alone without works) then it is the faith OF Christ that keeps us saved, not our works!

Galatians 2:16 KJB

16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Galatians 2:20 - I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Jesus was faithful to go to the cross to pay the full punishment for our sins, and the whole triune Godhead then raises him from the dead three days after his burial. Jesus did EVERYTHING that was required to make us fully righteous unto God, but we must believe the gospel in order to have God's righteousness imputed to us. Once we are saved this WORK OF GOD can never be undone. What Jesus accomplished for us is complete and we are now complete IN Christ as believers.

Colossians 2:10 KJB

10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

We do good works after salvation when we have God's word rightly divided also dwelling in us as believers, so that Christ can live in and through us.

As believers we can ONLY do good works by walking in the Spirit. You would leave behind newage and other false teachings (after salvation) more and more over time as you read and study God's word rightly divided (it takes time to be un-brainwashed from false teachings). This is because those newage teachings are contrary to the sound grace doctrine that is written to us today.

But even as grace believers who study the Bible, we might still get caught up in false teachings at times or even try and go back to some newage type of teachings (give in to the flesh) because we have a real spiritual warfare where Satan is always trying to deceive us through various kinds of false doctrines, and also our flesh lusts against the Spirit and will want "feel good" messages (because it believes it will be happier, healthier or more rich etc with false teachings) and legalism (so the flesh can be self-righteous and glory in itself) instead of sound grace doctrine. It also takes time for us to come to know, understand and believe sound grace doctrine. The Lord understands that we won't just know and have wisdom instantly overnight, it takes time but it also takes our commitment to studying the word of God rightly divided daily.

When we believe God's word rightly divided that means suffering, because we have to put off the old man and walk in the Spirit instead which is contrary to the world and not pleasing to our flesh. This is why so many ex-newagers get caught up in other kinds of false teachings in Christendom after having left behind the newage, or why they struggle with wanting to sometimes go back to newage teachings. Our flesh still likes those teachings and practices,(meditation, yoga, positive affirmations, angel cards, etc) or it will suddenly prefer even more legalistic teachings in Christendom so that it can boast in itself and the "works" that it does.

The flesh DOESN'T CHANGE. Our spirit is made alive in Christ and we are a new creature in Christ. But we also still have a carnal, fleshly body that cannot be reformed. We can, however, as believers, YEILD our bodies to serve God instead of serving the lusts of the flesh (lusts of the flesh can include lusting after religion, not just lusting after sex, physical pleasures, greediness, gossip, etc). The ONLY way that we can do this is by having God's word IN us by daily reading and studying God's word rightly divided, believing it and obeying it.

IF WE ARE NOT STUDYING GODS WORD RIGHTLY DIVIDED DAILY, THEN WE ARE ON AUTOMATIC PILOT WITH THE THINKING AND TEACHINGS OF THIS WORLD. << This includes religious and newage teachings, also known as "the wisdom of this world".

So, leaving the newage is not what saves you. You have to first understand that you are a sinner and cannot save yourself. All that an unbeliever can do is sin. Unbelievers are NOT "good people who sometimes sin", rather they have evil, wicked hearts and ALL they do is sin! They have NO POWER over the sin nature.

Jeremiah 17:9 - The heart [sin nature] is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Romans 1:21 - Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Isaiah 64:6 - But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses [trying to do good works from our flesh!] are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Romans 3: 10-12 KJB "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."

Romans 5:6 KJB “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”

Romans 14:23b "...for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.”

Once you have recognized that, then you need to believe that Christ Jesus died for your sins, was buried and rose again for your justification. Once you believe that gospel, you are saved unto eternal life!

Having believed the Gospel, you now have God's Spirit (the whole triune Godhead)

living in you. This enables you to be able to understand spiritual things (Gods word). It will take time in Gods word rightly divided to really understand God's word. We can only understand one concept or doctrine at a time. We also need time to digest it. Meditating (really thinking about) verses and doctrines is also important. Then, we can also pray about those verses, which is praying in understanding of God's will

The Gospel of the Grace of God

As I mentioned, the Gospel of the grace of God is how that Christ Jesus died for your sins, was buried and rose again for your justification.

To be saved forever, just believe how that Christ Jesus died for your sins (you are a sinner and you cannot save yourself!), and that He was buried and He rose again for your justification. The moment that you SIMPLY BELEIVE that glorious gospel, you are saved forever!

1 Cor 15: 1-4 KJB "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, 👉how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures"👈

Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" And Romans 3: 10-12 says, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."

So what is man to do? Well, we cannot earn our way to righteousness or to heaven. We can only be saved by Gods grace. As an answer to our problem, Father God sent his Son the Lord Jesus Christ to die for our sins, and he was buried and he rose on the third day for our justification and it is only by simple faith in this glorious gospel that we can be saved.

Eph 2:8-9 says, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

Romans 1:16 says "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

God's Will for Man

As I mentioned earlier it is God’s will that "all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." What this means is that God has given man free will to choose to believe the gospel given unto them at that time (today it is the gospel of the grace of God). Once we have believed the Gospel, then God wants us to read and study God's word rightly divided ("come unto the knowledge of the truth"). When we read and study scripture after we are saved, then we can mature spiritually. We are also to believe the scriptures and obey them. However, we have to study the scriptures rightly divided.
